New Dark Mode in Stock Rover

Introduction

We are very excited to announce the availability of a new Dark Mode display option for Stock Rover.

By default, Stock Rover displays dark text on a light background. The Dark Mode display option switches the display to light text on a dark background. The new feature can enhance readability and provide a more comfortable viewing experience for users that prefer a dark background.

Currently the feature is in beta and is available to all users. When the feature is refined further and exits beta, it will likely only be available on our highest-tier plan.

You can try and use this feature now and can switch between dark and light mode as often as you like.

Configuring Dark Mode

Enabling Dark Mode is straightforward. To change to Dark Mode, go to the pulldown under your Stock Rover username and select “Dark Mode BETA”.

if you would like to change back to Light Mode, simply return to the pulldown menu and choose “Light Mode”.

Dark Mode Display Examples

The screenshots below below demonstrate several ways in which the new Dark Mode can improve your Stock Rover experience. For example, depending on your computer display, you may more readily see the colored numeric values, and the charts may appear a bit sharper.

Dashboard

The image below shows the Dashboard sections for Portfolio Performance, the Holdings Performance Map, Markets Movers and Sector Performance.

Here we see the Portfolio returns in the Table for a Warren Buffet Top 25 Portfolio.

The Scores Tiles view is showing both tabular and chart data.

Here we are comparing the returns of Verizon, Apple, and American Express over a 5-year period. The dark background provides better contrast, making it easier to read and interpret the chart.

Dark Mode can help both numerical and graphical content stand out more prominently, making it easier for you to quickly view and interpret financial data.

If you prefer the aesthetics or readability of Dark Mode then the new display option is ideally suited for you.
