On TOS, after a company announces quarterly results, I can click on live news for the stock’s symbol. That brings me news feeds that show links to press releases and stories about how individual analysts adjust their target prices and recommendations based on the new financial info. What is described above is very interesting and looks like it requires a lot of searching by the reader. Is there a way to simplify the research process? Another simple way to get financial info is go to a company’s web site, click on Investor Relations and or Media tabs and find your way to financial info, SEC filings and some press releases. Maybe SR should provide links to those pages for each stock? Reply
Yes… to your point there are multiple ways to get this information. To find and read news about a specific stock in Stock Rover, simply select the News https://www.stockrover.com/help/insight-news/ tab. Here, you will see the latest market news from the sources selected in the ‘More Feeds‘ menu. You can also very easily access a company’s latest filings right from Stock Rover via the Insight Panel – Statement https://www.stockrover.com/help/statements/ and select the Filings Tab. The Filings tab provides access to the SEC Filings. Here there is access to Annual, Quarterly, or Other Filings. Clicking on any of the reports will take you straight to the filing from the SEC’s EDGAR system.
In the Insights > Visuals > EPS view, is there a % Growth view? To get a sense of how sales revenue has grown historically I would have to calculate manually. The only other place I see it is in “Overview” but it averages 3Yr and 5Yr rather than quarterly YoY. Reply
Hi John, I believe you’re interested in the “Sales QoQ Change” metric which is the quarter over quarter change in sales (or revenue) between this quarter and the same fiscal quarter one year ago. The metric is available in the default Growth view in the Table, it can also be Charted as a fundamental. You can also create your own Visual- https://www.stockrover.com/blog/product-features/customizing-visuals/ Regards, Ken
In the Visual itself you’ll see check boxes for “Include % Change vs. Prior Year” and “Include % Change vs. Prior Quarter” next to Sales (Millions of Dollars) this will display what you are looking for. Reply
