The settings of Future Income are along the top of the table, as highlighted below. You can include past income, change the currency or choose to assume reinvestment or not in the income table.
The pull-down menu highlighted in the screenshot below allows you to select from four different time periods. You can choose to include past income from the current month, from the last three months plus the current month, from the beginning of the current year, or from the beginning of the previous year. This allows you to compare the future income to the previous months. For comparison purposes past income is computed from current portfolio holdings, ignoring the trade history. You can also select None and Stock Rover won’t include any past income.
The date setting allows you to view the income based by either Ex-Dividend Date or Payment Date.
The currency setting allows you to view the values in USD or CAD.
This check box allows you to include dividend reinvestment as part of the future income stream, or not.
Note: Reinvestment uses today’s prices for future purchases, compounding later dividend income.
This setting allows you to account for your money market interest. You can enter the the interest rate and the day of the month the interest is paid and the tool will incorporate this information in the display as seen in the screenshot below.
Note: This setting is applied to all your portfolios. All portfolios will have the same money market interest rate.
